Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre on December 31, 2014 after a long and healthy life at the age of 94. Predeceased by her husband Douglas H. Dawe (1999) and brother Allan Lindsay. Left with fond and loving memories her children Geoffrey (Glenda) and Janice (Tom Chalker), grandchildren Christopher (Joanne) and Robyn (Michael Doyle), Brent and Julia Chalker; sisters Mary Hodge (Joseph, deceased) and Edna (Edward Hunter) and great grandchildren Peter Michael, John Geoffrey and Charles Christopher Doyle along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Jean was a kind, honest and sincere person who enjoyed baking and was known for her cookies and cakes. After raising her family she was manager of the Cod Jigger Craft store on Duckworth Street for many years. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may visit the family on Saturday January 3, 2015 from 2-4 pm at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Funeral service will be held on Monday January 5, 2015 at 11:00 am from The Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery Forest Road.
