Brian Collins of Fort McMurray, Alberta, following a courageous battle with cancer, passed away December 29, 2014. Brian is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Mary; his two children, Bradley and Vanessa; his siblings, Paul Collins, Barbara Bryson, Patricia Collins, Joanne Collins, Michelle Collins, Cathy Richards and Gregory Collins; his grandchildren, Kassandra and Mackenzie; and many friends. Brian was predeceased by his parents; Patrick and Mary Jo. Born and raised in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, he spent much of his younger years making music and enjoying the outdoors. In 1977, Brian relocated his young family to Fort McMurray to begin his long career as a crane operator with Syncrude.
