It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the passing of a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Mary (Carey) Kearns, 79, passed away peacefully early in the morning of Saturday Jan. 3, 2015, at the Northside General Hospital due to complications following a stroke experienced over two years ago.
Mary was born Jan. 25, 1935, in Armagh, Northern Ireland.
She was predeceased by parents Jim and Lilly, brothers Jim and Danny Carey and survived by her husband John, her children, Nigel, Adele and Jason. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and her sister Ann.
She was the consummate host and homemaker who enjoyed social times and loved her many and diverse group of pets. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of a memorial service, an Irish wake is being planned in the summer followed by the spreading of her ashes in the presence of her friends and loved ones.
