CHOW, ELLEN RUTH - Ellen Ruth Chow of Doaktown, NB, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2015 at her home in Priceville, NB, surrounded by her children and family. She was born in Saint John, NB on July 06, 1950. She was predeceased by her parents, Gertrude M. Lyons and James A. Lyons and is survived by her husband, Heman Chow; daughter, Shelly Lynn Price of Doaktown; son, Darcy Wayne Price of Penniac; daughter-in-law, Erica Stymiest; and grandchildren, Emily Porter, Brady Porter, Denisha Lyons, Kali Lyons of Doaktown, Taylor Price, Madison Price and Paige Price of Penniac. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren, Brook-Lynn, Aleah, and Kaiden of Doaktown. She is also survived by brothers, Donald Lyons of Kingston, ON, Stephen Lyons and Alfred Lyons of Fredericton, NB. Special thanks to Dr. Anan, Dr. D. Gowan, and Dr. Gillis-Doyle as well as the entire staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital as well as Vanessa Betts NP and staff of the Central Miramichi Community Health Centre. Thank-you as well to the many friends and acquaintances whose help and well-wishes have lightened the load along the way.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Wesleyan Methodist Church, Main Street, Doaktown, NB on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place from the church on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. J. A. Treese officiating. Interment will take place in McNamee Pentecostal Cemetery in Porter Cove at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of any choice.
