Nancy Jones of New Waterford passed away peacefully on Jan. 15, 2015, in New Waterford Hospital.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Campbell) Smith. She is survived by sons, Kirk (Beth Brunet) and Adam (Clare Kibyuk) and grandson, Thomas.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Shannon.
We would like to thank her good friends who were a great support and comfort to her, especially Etta Gray, Helen Murray, Charmaine Hogan, Wayne and Mitch Rich, as well as the staff of the New Waterford Tim Hortons.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Her funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 22nd, 11 a.m. at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. Interment will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Scotchtown, with a luncheon to follow at St. Leonard's Hall, Convent Street, New Waterford.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul or the Cape Breton SPCA.
