SWIM, Burrows (Bursey) Kenneth, 82, Surf Lodge Nursing Home, Lockeport, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in Roseway Hospital. Born in East Port L’Hebert on October 5, 1932, he was a son of the late Charles Wilson Swim, Clark’s Harbour and the late Mary Ann Lloyd, East Port L’Hebert. Bursey spent his life on the sea as a fisherman and for many years as harbour pilot in Lockeport. He was a loving husband to his wife Phyllis, devoted father to Kevin, Kenneth and Chris, and proud grandfather to Kendra, Kristian, Nicholas, Naomi, Brent, Amy, and great-grandfather to Karleigh. Bursey enjoyed his many years on the sea and his time spent in later years at his gear shed talking to all the fishermen. Bursey is survived by his devoted wife, Phyllis (Vacher); sons, Kevin (Kathy), Upper Kingsburg; Kenneth (Joann), Lockeport; Chris (Maura) Florenceville, NB; grandchildren, Kendra (Garrison); Nicholas (Kristi); Naomi (Fenwick); Brent and Amy; great-granddaughter, Karleigh; sisters, Dorothy (Theodore Hiltz) and Alice Culligan (Pat); sister-in-law, Pauline (Lindy). He was predeceased by grandson, Kristian; brothers, Robie, Lindburg (Lindy), Ronald, Roland, and sister Viola. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson`s Funeral Home. No service by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Lockeport Medical First Responders c/o Town of Lockeport, P.O. Box 189, Lockeport, N.S. B0T1L0 or charity of your choice.
