It is with great sadness that the families of Edmund (Dick) Baker announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, January 28th, 2015, at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Bernadette nee Brake, his children Carl Marsh, Craig (Donna) Canning (Sarah), Cathy (Barry) Brown (Alisha & David), Mark (Janice) Baker, & Matthew (Melissa) Baker, his grandchildren Ricki, Ryan, Julia, & Maxwell, his siblings Ann (Milton) Wight, Mrs. Francis Cull, & Mrs. Julia Paul, brother-in-law, Don Gentry, also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family, extended family & friends. Dick was predeceased by his wife Muriel nee Cannings, his parents Moses & Susanna Baker, brothers Robert (Marjorie) Baker, Nick (May) Baker, & George Baker, sisters Dot (Malcolm) Cassell, Lucy (Clayton) Coish, & Vida White, his brothers-in-law Norman Cull, & Ron Paul. The family will be receiving family and friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Monday, February 2nd, 2015, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015, at 2: pm at the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church on Bennett Ave, NL, with Pastor Peter Grimes officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot on Wight's Road, Deer Lake, NL.
