It is with great sadness that the family of the late Muriel Pearce announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the age of 78 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Ida Diamond, Donald (Mary) Diamond, Albert (Kelly) Diamond, Debbie Diamond, Otto (Susan) Diamond, Raymond (Elizabeth) Diamond, Huldah (Wade) Oldford; son in law Glen Keats; grandchildren: Jason (Rob), Jennifer (Junior), Anthony (Marsha), Amanda (Amo), Adam (Anuar), Christina (Cody), Angela (Jeremy), Sherry Lynn (Jason), Otto (Raychel), Raymond (Kim), Victoria (Matt), Scott (Vicky), and Sabrina (Connor); great-grandchildren: Seth, Destiny, Mya, Jaxon, Jagger, Jaiden, Jaelyn, Sarah, Brooke, Kaylee, Hailey, Kyle, Mason; brothers & sisters: Raymond (Joan) Stratton, Ruby Lee, Rodney (Jessie) Stratton, Edgar (Kitty) Stratton, Marjorie (Lindy) Stratton, June Dewling, Huldah (Gordon) Penney, David (Pat) Stratton; sister in law Daisy Crewe, as well as a large circle of nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ira (2013); parents Abel and Jessie Stratton; brother Wilfred (Minnie) Stratton; brothers in law: Bill Lee, Charlie Dewling, and Ray Crewe and niece Kathy Tavenor. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 10-12 noon. In keeping with Muriel's wishes cremation will take place. The funeral service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend John Van Vliet officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to W.M.R. Hospital Palliative Care Unit. A special thank-you to Dr. Mark Smallwood and the nurses at the Palliative Care Unit at W.M.R. Hospital. Your compassionate care of our mother has touched our hearts.
