It is with great sadness that the family of the late RITA BARRY of Jean de Baie announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at the age of 92. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Donald Barry of Jean de Baie and Dermot Barry (Anne) of Creston South; daughter, Genevieve (Bernard Rowlands) of Jean de Baie; sisters, Dorothy Molloy of Jean de Baie, Philomena Hackett of Corner Brook, Stella (Pius) Young of St. George’s, Helen (Isadore) Fitzpatrick of Jean de Baie, Lenora (Kevin) Harding of Creston North and Rose (Martin) Hannam of Jean de Baie; brother-in-law, Wally White of Corner Brook; sister-in-law, Florence O’Keefe of Jean de Baie; 6 grandchildren, Sharon, Betty, Sandra, Donny, Calvin & Dale; 8 great-grandchildren, Jamie, Kyle, Rebecca, James, Shea, Braxton, Anna & Ashton; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, James Barry; parents, William & Mary O’Keefe; grandchildren, Theresa Barry & Darren Barry; brothers, Jerome & Paddy O’Keefe; sisters, Katie White, Genevieve McCarthy & Mary White.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Saturday, February 7, at 10:00 a.m. Interment followed at Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Cemetery in Jean de Baie.
