THORSEN, INA
It is with sadness, the family of Ina Natalie Thorsen, age 83, announces her death, at the Sussex Health Centre, on February 18, 2015. The wife of the late Jurne Thorsen, of Hatfield Point NB, Ina was born on September 16, 1931 in Young’s Cove Road, Queen’s County, NB, a daughter of the late Howard and Annie (Gallagher) Allaby.
Ina is survived by her children: Nan (John) Stockdale of Drury’s Cove, Faye (Doug) Reicker of Hatfield Point, June (Terry) Edwards of Hatfield Point and Eric (Debbie) Thorsen of Hatfield Point; grandchildren: Susan Pope and Tanya Stockdale, Clint, Shawn, Jay, and Luke Reicker, Craig, Scott, Kal, and Brett Edwards, Casey McMillan, Sarah, Mitchell, Daniel, Christine and Jordan Thorsen; great-grandchildren: Kayla, Emmerson, Avery, Hunter, Samuel, Jurne, Jaden, Allie, Brooks, Cohen, Raya, Ella and Lyla; sister Glenna Huggard; and sister-in-law Beth Allaby.
Besides her husband and parents, Ina was predeceased by her brothers: Ralph, Barry and Albert Allaby; and sister-in-law Swanie Davis.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton. As per Ina’s request, there will be no visitation held. The funeral service, conducted by Rev. Preston Mowry, will be held from Hatfield Point Baptist Church, Hatfield Point, at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 21, 2015. Interment will take place in the spring at Bayview Cemetery, Hatfield Point.
Donations in memory of Ina may be made to the Bayview Cemetery or to a memorial of the donor’s choice.
