The death occurred suddenly at his late residence on Monday, February 16, 2015, of Merle Blaine Skerry of Summerside, aged 63 years. Blaine was born in Alberton to his late parents Merle and Lois (nee Gordon) Skerry. Survived by his brother-in-law James Bourque and predeceased by his sister Faye Bourque. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Feb. 22, from 2 - 3 p.m. By personal request there will be no funeral service held. Interment to take place in People's cemetery, Summerside, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Blaine's memory to the P.E.I. Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
