Dr. Kenneth Kettering Glenn of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully with family by his side on February 12, 2015 at the age of 87. Kenneth will be sadly missed by his wife of 63 years, Maxine; son Robby; daughters Norma Broughton, Kathy, Lori (Ken) Belyea, and Val (fiancé Ron Carpentier); seven grandchildren: Joshua, Jaeda (Chris), Jenesse; Rod and Jeremy; Glenn and Carol-Lynn; five great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Kenneth is predeceased by his parents; daughter Carol; great-granddaughter Janessa and brother Gale. Ken was a Chiropractor in Moose Jaw for over 40 years. He was active throughout his practice with the Chiropractor’s Association of Sask., and was named Chiropractor of the Year by them in 1978. Ken was a member of Zion United Church and served in many capacities, including Superintendent of Sunday School for 13 years. Ken served on the executive of many community organizations including: the Moose Jaw Band Association, the Children’s Aid Society, the Federal P.C. Association, and the Moose Jaw Art Museum Board. Ken was also elected to the Moose Jaw Board of Education for 16 consecutive years. He also operated a grain and stock farm (Lauderdale Farms), raising Aberdeen Angus cattle, had a 3000 head Feed Lot, and worked with Percheron horses. He was a member of the Sask. Aberdeen Angus Association, Leader of the Blue Hill 4-H Beef Club, and was a Judge at many 4-H Beef Achievement Days. Ken enjoyed wood working, making various keepsakes for family. He and Maxine travelled to Israel, Russia, Australia, Alaska, Europe, and the Greek Islands. They also enjoyed travelling to visit family in their motor home, spending time with each of the kids. Several winters were spent in California. Ken enjoyed watching sports, especially following Pat Simmons and curling, and the Riders. The Memorial Service will be held at Zion United Church on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at 1:30 pm. Reverend Doug Hallman will officiate. In lieu of flowers, for those so wishing, memorial donations may be made to the Sask. Heart & Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, S7K 2H8, or to the J.D.R.F., P.O. Box 3924, Regina, S4P 3S9. In living memory of Ken, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
