Even though Bruce lived in Calgary for the past 20 years, he grew up in Nova Scotia, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia, graduating from Dalhousie University in Halifax in 1995. His work experiences at EBA, Stantec, and most recently as Senior Environmental Scientist at AMEC brought him new ideas, clients and friends to call part of his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Amber, children Seth and Leila, his brother Ian (Mary), nephew Axel, and his parents Edgar and Brenda Dewar of Montague, P.E.I.
An informal memorial to Bruce will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 1, at Hillcrest United Church, Montague and will include eulogies from his brother and wife given originally at the Calgary funeral, a slide show of photos collected over his lifetime, a video of the Grey Cup(!), a few words re Vivaldi’s Requiem Mass, and of course delicious goodies provided by the UCW.
