McNAMARA, JOSEPH "JOE"
Joseph “Joe” Carl McNamara, of Cumberland Bay, passed away peacefully at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Sunday, February 22nd, 2015 at 76 years with his family by his side. He was born on April 7th, 1938 in Coal Creek, son of the late James and Dora (Brown) McNamara.
Joe was a loving husband, father and brother and friend. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Patricia, their children, Donna (Joey) Wood, Karen (Terry) Phillips and Joanne Miller; sister, Eleanor (Edmond) Blackier; brother, Ralph (Annie) McNamara of Cumberland Bay; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kristin), Tyler Wood and Ryan Miller; one great-graddaughter, Emma Wood; many nieces and nephews.
Joe was predeceased by his infant brother, Paul; sisters, Viola Deveau, Marie Barton and Carolyn NcNamara; grandson, spencer Wood.
A Celebration of Life will be held from the Cumberland Bay Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 25th, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Andrew Ardern officiating. The family will receive comfort at the Chipman Funeral Home Ltd. & Crematorium (339-6612) on Tuesday, February 24th, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Interment will be made at The Range Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in memory of Joe may be made to the Oromocto Public Hospital or The Range Cemetery.
