Salyzyn, Jean Iva (nee Barkhouse) July 2, 1934 – February 14, 2015 – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Jean Salyzyn of Kentville, Nova Scotia. She has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior. Jean is survived by her son, Stephen Salyzyn, daughter Tammy & Husband, David Danielson, Grandsons, Christopher & Matthew Danielson, all of St. Albert, Alberta, Granddaughter Carissa & Husband Robert lee & Great Grandsons Dakota & Dalton Lee of Didsbury, Alberta. Sisters Muriel Piche of Powell River, B.C. & Venetta Frampton of Kentville, Nova Scotia and numerous family & friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Salyzyn, Mother, Gertrude Barkhouse, Father, Leonard Barkhouse, brothers Delbert Carey & Eldon Barkhouse, Sisters, Olga Weare, Glayda Brown & Greta MacIntyre. A special thank you to Aunt Mackie for being a loving and compassionate sister to our Mom. Also to family & friends who provided support during Mom’s illness. A special thank you to Dr. K. MacAdoo & Heather, as well as the doctors and nurses at the Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville and Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will occur in St. Albert, Alberta where she will once again be with her loving husband.
