MURPHY, THOMAS HAROLD
Thomas Murphy of Waasis, NB, died at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on March 1st, 2015 at the age of 90. Born in Halifax, NS, on the 23rd of December, 1924, he was the son of the late Thomas Vincent Murphy and Josephine (Jeffery) Murphy.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Kathe (Bantin) Murphy; one daughter, Tracey Neves and her husband Carlos of Oromocto, NB; one step-daughter, Ludmilla of Hamburg, Germany; two brothers, Jack and his wife, Leona, of Truro, NS, and Ronald and his wife, Grace, of Halifax, NS; two grandchildren, Michael and Amanda Neves of Oromocto, NB, and one great-granddaughter, Rayah.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Lorraine Gray.
Thomas was a WWII veteran who also served in Korea, Egypt (UN), and Germany (NATO). He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 93 in Oromocto, NB.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5th, 2015 from 2:30 to 4:00 pm and 6:30 to 8:00 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 93 will hold a tribute service at 6:30 pm. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, March 6th at 2:00 pm with Fr. Antonio Reyes officiating. Interment will be in Oromocto Pioneer Gardens in the spring.
