Peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, of James W. Paynter of Victoria Rd., Summerside, aged 73 years. Born in Kelvin Grove on October 6, 1941, son of the late Horace and Phyllis (Hickey) Paynter. Husband of Laura (Ramsay) Paynter. Father of Kim (Bill) Stright, Pictou; Karen Deagle, Souris; and Sandra (Paul) Derby, Cole Harbour. Grandfather to Josh and Tyler Stright, Nick, Katie and Nathan Deagle, Sarah and Kaylee Derby. Brother of Anna Johnstone (Hilton Bryanton). Brother-in-law of Kaye Paynter, Elizabeth (Clair) Hogg, Irene Ramsay, John Arthur (Ann) Ramsay and Marilyn Ramsay (John Pineau). Also surviving are many beloved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Myron Paynter and brothers-in-law Lloyd Ramsay and Herman Ramsay. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday in the Summerside Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
