It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of dear husband, father and grandfather (pepe) Joseph Robert Gaudet of Summerside, on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of Shirley (Thibodeau) Gaudet. Born in St. Edward on June 9, 1938, he was the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Perry) Gaudet. Cherished father to Terry (Lori) Gaudet, Michelle (Edward) Vandervelden, Nicole Carragher (Randy MacDonald) and Marcel (Vanessa) Gaudet. Loving grandfather to Vanessa, Maria, Brady, Savannah, Dylan, Nicholas, Victoria, Kelsie, Morgan, Thea, Drake and great-grandfather to Bentley and Brooklyn. Dear brother to Anita (late Melvin) Perry, Leona (late Harvey) Gallant, Ida (Cyril) Bernard, Eleanor (Roy) Hustler, Bernice (late Donnie) Arsenault, Christine (Billy) Shields and sister-in-law Dianne (late Valmont) Gaudet. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road, for visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Funeral will be held Friday, March 6, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, with funeral mass at 2 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
