MUISE, Gerald Leo “Jackson” – age 77, Parade Street, Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2015 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born April 16, 1937 in Amirault’s Hill, he was a son of the late Adolphe and Annie Rose (Muise) Muise. He began fishing at the age of 19, beginning as a long-liner and eventually becoming a lobster fisherman who owned his own boats. He was an avid deer hunter and trout fisherman and he loved gardening. He will be remembered as a jack-of-all-trades. He is survived by his wife, Mary G. (Amos) Muise, Yarmouth, as well as by sons, Gerald Samuel Muise, Yarmouth and Robert J. D. Muise, Pubnico Head, along with six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Emilda Muise, Quinan; Doris Muise and Verna LeBlanc, both of Yarmouth; Stanley Muise, Springhaven and Linda Muise, Yarmouth. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by a six year-old son, Mark Joseph Muise, as well as by a 12 year-old brother, Clayton Muise. Visitation took place from 2-4 and again from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. In accordance with Gerald’s wishes, there was no funeral service. Spring interment will take place in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
