Passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 21st day of February 2015, Mr. Dennis Anthony Troy in his 68th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 41 years Leona; sons Darren (Debbie), Jeffrey and Peter (Mindy); daughter Charmaine Alyward (Edward); grandchildren Corey, Travis, Kendra, Jamie, Jake, Jenna, Courtney, Eve, Logan, and Addison; brothers Vince, Mike, Felix (Edna), and Garry (Flo); sisters Minnie Walsh, and Gertie (Bax) Pilgrim; mother-in-law Kathleen Woodford, and brother-in-law Will Cull as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Rita Troy, sister Ann Cull, father-in-law James Woodford, and brother-in-law Pat Walsh. Visitation took place at the funeral home in St. Anthony, after which the funeral mass was held at the Immaculate Conception Church in Goose Cove at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24 with Fr. Vitus Echedo officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in Goose Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
