Thelma Kathleen Hubley, of Coxheath Road, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late M.F. and Annie (Matheson) MacLean.
Thelma was a member of the United Baptist Church, Sydney. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, taking great pride in caring for her family, especially her grandchildren and nieces and nephew. Thelma had a long and successful career in real estate with four separate companies.
Surviving are her daughter, Nancy; sons, Brian and Bruce (Georgina); sister, Mary Lou Morrison; grandchildren, Jessica and Thomas Hubley; 15 nieces and one nephew; sisters-in-law, Isabel MacLean and Linda Draper.
Thelma was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Raymond; brothers, Frank and Jack; sisters-in-law, Murial MacLean, Joan Mersereau and Ruby MacLeod and brother-in-law, Francis Morrison.
A memorial service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 14 at 3 p.m., with Rev. Allan MacLellan officiating. Interment will take place in Alfred Smith Cemetery at a later date.
