LYNDS, Herbert Allen – 84, North River. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Allen, on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born November 25, 1930, in Truro, he was a son of the late Herbert and Ethel (Hennigar) Lynds. Allen is survived by his sons, Scott (Margaret), Darren “Chub” (Jean); grandchildren, Jack, Baillie, Hannah, all of North River; Scott and Darren’s mother, Kathryn, Truro; sisters, Shirley Ettinger, Truro; Estelle (Guy) McNutt, Truro; brothers, Milton, Eastville; Gerald, Amherst; Emery, East Mountain; Vernon, Florida. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Francis. Honouring Allen’s wishes, there will no service. If so desired, donations in his memory to a charity of choice are welcomed.
