It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Dolorus Mary Scott on March 13, 2015, at the Seaview Manor with her loving daughter by her side.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Gert Hurley.
Mom will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially for her humor and quick wit.
Dolorus is survived by son Jerry; daughters, Johna and Kamy (Blair) Cameron; five grandchildren, including her pride and joy Elizabeth and Emily; many nieces and nephews; special niece Bernadette MacLeod, and her boys, Brandon O’Connell, Jesse and Garett MacInnis; sisters, Maureen MacLeod, Colleen Cathcart, Elizabeth Toulouse and brother Bernard Hurley.
Besides parents, she was predeceased by partner Neil Roberts, son Bernard Scott, brother Gerry Hurley and sister in infancy Bernadette.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. A private family service will take place at a later date.
Donations may be made to Seaview Manor in Dolorus’s memory.
At this time the family would like to thank management and staff of the Ground Floor at Seaview Manor for being like Mom’s second family, and Dr. Mark Ellerker, your care will always be remembered.
