Passed peacefully away at the G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on March 14, 2015, Eli Toope, age 88, of Trinity East. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife Edith, of 66 years; Daughters: Jane (Wayne Peckham), Ann (Dan Cahill); Grandchildren: Terry (Cynthia), Roger (Lisa), Penny (Jimmy), Tracey; Great-grandchildren: James, Emily, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Nicholas, Hannah and Olivia; Brother Douglas Toope (Olive); Brother-in-law Roland Pittman; Sisters-in-law: Rita Hodder, Leonie Ivany and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Rested at St. Andrews Anglican Church where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Eric Squires, took place on March 17, 2015, with interment following.
