Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, March 17, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (McCloy) Arsenault and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to Rene, Sarah, Josh, and Chelsea of Waterdown; Darlene, Rich, Dylan and Kyle of Waterdown; Jackie, Ron, Ronald, Chris, Anne, Jade, Dawson, and Abby of Sarnia; and Nancy, Randy, and Jeremy of Sarnia. Son of the late Donat and Beatrice Arsenault. He will be forever remembered by his brothers and sisters Euclide† (Julia), Edward† (Beatrice), Josephine† (Cyr†), Anita† (Expidit), Louise (Dolore†), Martin (Wilma), Clarence (Sherren), Raymond, Wilfred (Stella), and Florence (Elmer). Rene will also be missed by many in-laws, extended family, and friends. A private mass was held for the immediate family to honor his life, followed by a cremation. A celebration of Rene's life will be announced at a future date. The family would like to give a special thanks to the palliative care team, nurses, Dr. Rabbat, and fellow health-care specialists at St. Joseph's Hospital.
