J. Willard (Will) McCarron

Passed away peacefully at Penticton Regional Hospital, British Columbia on March 20, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
Will is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Micheline; his two daughters, Claudette (Tim) and Suzanne (Bob); and his five loving grandchildren: Michael, Danielle, Emily, Tom and Jack. He also leaves one brother, Leith; sister-in-law, Evy-Lou; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Will was predeceased by his parents, James and Hazel, and nine siblings: Gerald, Irene, Reggie, Lois, Thomas, John, Cyril, Milton and Danny.
Will was born in St. Mary's Road, Prince Edward Island on April 16, 1935. He completed his undergraduate studies at St. Dunstan's and his Master's degree in French literature from Assumption College, Worcester, Massachusetts. Will was one of the first French Immersion teachers in Charlottetown and taught for 32 years at Colonel Gray High School, Queen Charlotte Junior High and Spring Park Elementary. He retired to Penticton in 1990.
Will's family will miss his gentle sense of humor and eloquent words of wisdom.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Kooy and the kind doctors and nurses of Penticton Regional Hospital for their compassionate care.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Penticton on Tuesday, March 24 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to your local food bank.
