It's with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Teresa, in her 86th year, on March 31, 2015, at Southlake Regional Hospital, Newmarket.
She was born April 20, 1928.
Teresa was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gregory, by only six months.
Loving mother to her son, Gregory B. (Tracy) Almon of Newmarket, Ont.; and Mae (Stan) Bullock of Keswick, Ont; Dear stepmother to Beverly (Earl) MacKinnon of Oshawa, Ont. She leaves behind three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great-grandsons and three great step-granddaughters.
Teresa was born in Bras d'Or, Nova Scotia to parents Gertrude Richard and Joseph Young.
She is survived by her sister, Ella Mae O'Connor of Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia.
Predeceased by her brothers, Ambrose (Denise) of Beaton, Ont. and Francis of Scarborough, Ont.
Proud employee (pre 1961) of A&P Toronto, Ont.. Proud stay at home mom and keeper of roses and her precious Dobermans (Starlight, many Gunnars and one Sanji) of Richmond Hill, Ont. Teresa loved sewing,; making pickles, jams, pies and her prize winning buttertarts. She would lovingly do anything for her children and husband.
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
As per Teresa's request cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
