The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, of Ethel Isabel (nee Grant) Hutchinson of Summerside, formerly of Ellerslie, aged 96 years. Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Hubert Hutchinson. Born on June 1, 1918, in Bideford, daughter of the late William and Alice (Evans) Grant. Loving mother to Harry (Mary) and Claude (Sandra), all of Summerside. Grandmother to Lisa (Ryan) Gallant, Summerside; Stacey (Chris) Currie, Summerside; D'Arcy (Kate), Ellerslie; Spencer, Summerside; Ryan, Summerside; Morgan (Eric Rodgerson) Summerside; and Jonathan, Calgary, Alberta. Great-grandmother to Blake, Connor, Emmett, Jack, Avery, Adrien, and special niece Connie Graham. Ethel is also survived by sisters: Annie Kadey, Andrews Lodge; Margaret Hutchinson, Andrews Lodge; and Edith (Bev) Hanson, Charlottetown; sisters-in-law Millicent Hutchinson, Ellerslie; Florence Hickey, Charlottetown; and Marie Graham, Winnipeg. Ethel was predeceased by her parents, husband Hubert (2014), brothers Henry, Vernon, Claude and Stanley 'Joe', sisters-in-law Ferne and Florence, brothers-in-law Emmett and Sherman. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel, with visiting hours on Friday, April 3, from 5-7 p.m. only. Funeral will be held on Saturday, April 4, at 11 a.m in the St. John's Anglican Church, Ellerslie. Interment in the St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery, Ellerslie, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, in memory of Ethel, memorials to St. John's Anglican Church or Cemetery would be appreciated.
