(May 19. 1956 - April 5. 2015)
Passed peacefully away at his home in Victoria on Sunday, April 5th, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by niece Tiffany Legge. Mourning his loss, parents Herbert and Ella Cook, fiancé Shelley Dearing, sons Jeffrey Cook (Cheryl), and Craig Cook (Becky), daughter Jillian (Jordan), stepdaughters Rebecca and Vanessa Leaman, stepson Gregory Warr. His pride and joy, two grandchildren Matty and Callie Cook. Also, brothers Dean Cook (Karen) and Bradley Cook (Yvonne), and sisters Linda Pearce (Randy), Peggy Callahan (Mark), and Wanda Cook (Felix). Nephews Blair Callahan and Neal Pearce and nieces Michelle Pearce and Emily Callahan. Father and mother in law Hunter and Harriet Dearing. Special friends Terry Parsons and Joey Tricco and a large circle of extended family and friends. Special thanks and appreciation extended to Dr Chris Peddle, Community Health Nurse Denise Mackey and Home Care Worker Renee Wareham. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home 329 Freshwater Road, St. John's. Visitation Tuesday April. 7th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Gary's life will be held Wednesday April 8th from St. Mark's Anglican Church Logy Bay Road at 2pm. Cremation to follow. Flowers greatfully accepted.
