WARD, WILLIAM "BILL" MAXWELL
1928 - 2015
William "Bill" Maxwell Ward, 86, of Edgett's Landing, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on April 6th, 2015. He passed away suddenly at the Moncton Hospital with his loving wife by his side.
Bill was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 23rd, 1928 the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Milton) Ward. He was a graduate of Atlantic Bible Institute, Hampton, NB. He worked in Connecticut, USA as a superintendent of Building Construction early on in his career. Later, he and his wife Lorna moved to Albert County and he started his own company, Arrow Building Construction Ltd. He built many homes in Albert County and in the Moncton area. He was a man of great faith and loved his Lord with all his heart. He was a very active member of the Albert Mines Baptist Church having served as Deacon for many years. He was also involved with the Albert County Baptist Association and The Gideons. He wanted to make sure all the children in the area knew Christ as their saviour. Bill was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Lorna, for 64 years. They never had any children but were very special to all their nieces and nephews. Uncle Bill was admired by many and will always be remembered for his deep laugh. He had a great sense of humour and was also known to have teased and told a few stories in his day. Bill would help anyone in need , he was very generous, kind and caring. His message to all his loved ones would be, I am now with our Heavenly Father, put your trust in him and he will comfort you.

He will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend, Lorna (Steeves) Ward; brothers, Raymond (Millie) of BC, Ralph (Ann) of NS, Gerald (Joanne) of Riverview; sister, Norma Rott of Alberta; many special brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and by many cherished nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by many dear friends and by his church family.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Stanley and James; sister, Shirley Palmer.
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday evening from 6 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert Mines Baptist Church on Friday, April 10th, 2015 at 2:00pm. Interment will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Edgett's Landing at a later date. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the Church for further fellowship and for refreshments.
