Peacefully, at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on April 13, 2015, of Kathleen “Bernice” McCarvill (nee Murphy) of Kinkora, age 90. Bernice was born on December 22, 1924, to Leaming and Alice Mae Murphy of Millvale. Beloved wife of Vernon (deceased). She leaves a legacy of love to her children Elizabeth (Fulton) Hamill, Paul (deceased) (Mary), Patrick (Susan), Kathy (Mauro) Corazza, Michael, Shawn (Joanne), Reg (Cheryl) and Lisa (Garth) Campbell. Also, lovingly remembered by her 31 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Theresa Smith of Kitchener, Ontario, and sister-in-law, Eugenia McCarvill, Charlottetown. Predeceased by brothers and sisters, Albert (Mary), Patricia (Louis) Mulligan, Cletus (Edna), Oswald (Mary), Father Clifford, and Leona (Elmer) McCourt, as well as her brothers and sisters-in-law.
Resting at Kinkora Place for visitation on Wednesday, April 15, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Members of CWL will say prayers at the visitation on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Funeral mass to be held at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora, on Thursday, April 16, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Salvation Army, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Please refrain from wearing scented products. Arraignments entrusted to Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora.
