HAYES, HENRY LEONARD "HANK"
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hank Hayes, son of the late William and Gertrude Hayes (McNeil) at his residence on April 20, 2015 surrounded by his family where he wanted to be.
Hank was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time with his children, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Verla Hayes of 58 years, his children; Bill Hayes (Debbie), Bobby Hayes, Bonnie Phillips (Doug), Kevin Hayes (Rose), Timmy Hayes (Lori) and Brian Hayes (Penny), one brother; John Moore and sisters; Doreen Tonge (Lenny), Shirley Boulanger (Pat) and Mabel Gagne (Henri) as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Hank was predeceased by his grandson; Douglas Phillips, brother; Bill Hayes, sisters; Madeline Sullivan and Edna Cook Sampson.
Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634-1965) with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 12:10pm from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery at a later day.
