Laurie Cormier, 66, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Saturday, April 25th, 2015, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB. Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Olivier and the late Josephine (née: Collette) Cormier.
Mr. Cormier had worked as a labour-bricklayer. He was a member of Sainte-Therese parish.
He is survived by two sisters: Aldéa (Jean-Victor) Belliveau-Goguen of St-Antoine and Dorice (Vincent) Dallaire of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; two brothers: Alvin (Claudine) and Aldérice (Eva-May), both of Bouctouche; one sister-in-law, Rita Cormier of St-Antoine; two brothers-in-law: Léonard LeBlanc of Gardner, MA and Philippe Cormier of Moncton; one step-daughter, Tammy Doak of Dorchester; three step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, as well as his family at la Résidence Alouette.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Rose-Marie in 2014; two sisters: Anita and Noëlla; one brother, Yvon; one brother-in-law, Néri Belliveau and also by one niece, Anita Maillet.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Thursday from 2 pm until time of departure. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sainte-Therese Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Thursday April 30th, 2015 at 4 pm.
Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the Parkinson Society would be appreciated by the family.
