Covey, Christopher Stewart – It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Christopher Stewart Covey, age 26, Yarmouth N.S, on 27 April 2015. Born in Truro, N.S, on 6 June 1988, he was the son of Alan and Sharon (McLeod) Covey. He will be sadly missed by his parents; sister, Jennifer Covey (Cory Mahoney); paternal grandmother, Audrey Covey (Lunenburg); maternal grandparents, Bert and Phyllis McLeod (Lunenburg); many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Chris was a Red Seal Welder, having worked in Grande Prairie, Alberta for a few years, and most recently in Marystown, Newfoundland. He loved golfing and playing hockey, listening to his music, and watching his movie collection with friends. He took great pleasure and pride in his beautiful lakeside home. His unique sense of humour will be missed by all. “Carpe diem”. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth, where cremation has taken place. Visitation was held Friday, May 1, 2015 from 7-9 pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service was held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Shawn Kehoe officiated. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Chris may be made to the Crosbie House Society or to the Mental Health/Addiction Services Department - Yarmouth Regional Hospital.
