A celebration of life for the late Muriel Robinson, who passed away Jan. 7, 2015, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday May 7, 2015, at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home Chapel, 10 Clyde Ave., Sydney Mines with Fr. Patrick O’Neil officiating.
Muriel was an avid and enthusiastic card player with the fellow residents at Mapleview Manor. Her family was her world.
She is survived by her two daughters, Christine (Gordon) and Karen (Evan) Hillier; three sons, Steven, Joseph (Marina) and Robert (Dianna); three sisters, Frances, Dorothy (Don) Inder and Pauline (Steve) MacKegian as well as 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, George; brothers, Charles, George, Benjamin, William, Raymond and Fred; sisters, Edith, Annie, Olive and Beatrice.
Donations in Muriel’s memory may be made to the AIDS coalition of Cape Breton or a charity of choice.
