The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday May 4, 2015, of Leona Connolly (nee White) of Summerside, aged 80 years. Leona was born in Bathurst, N.B., to the late Clarence and Mary (nee Imhoff) White. Beloved wife of Ray Connolly and loving mother of David, Charlottetown, Karen, Summerside, and Kevin (Nancy) of Calgary, Alberta. Survived by her sister Marjorie White of Bathurst, N.B., brother-in-law Len Nixon, sister-in-law Ruth White and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Leona was predeceased by her sisters Edna (Roger) St. Amour and Carmel (Len) Nixon, brothers Alphie, Aurele and Leon. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Friday, May 8, then to St. Paul’s Church for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Leona’s memory to the P.E.I. Rights for Life Association, the Arthritis Society or the P.E.I. Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated.
