George passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in Fort St. John on Sunday, February 22nd, surrounded by family. Born on January 13, 1924 in Fanny Bay, British Columbia, George was a pioneer of the Peace River Area and a resident for almost 85 years.
George leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 63 years, Loa; his children Gordon (Sandra), Rob, Don (Bonnie), Julie, Tom (Shelly), Arlene (Pat) Dressler, Doug (Wendy), Karen (Bruce) Fletcher; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanne and Marie Wagner; sister-in law, Katie Bjornson; brother-in-law, Steve Mizeri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wish to thank the staff of Spruce Lane in Peace Villa Meadows, Dr. Hamill, Dr. Mackey, Father Vener Sabacan, Catholic Choir, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Women’s League, Hamre’s Funeral Chapel, family and friends for your kindness in thought and deed.
