April 18, 1936 - May 4, 2015
Olga Michaluk (nee Wolansky) was born April 18, 1936 in Smoky Lake, Alberta and died peacefully May 4, 2015 in Burnaby, BC. Predeceased by husband William and brother James Wolansky. Survived by loving children Michael Michaluk and Janice Vanderspek and two grandchildren. Also survived by brother Norman (Roberta) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom grew up on the Sunshine Coast and raised her family in Burnaby. She lived her life with a smile on her face and had a fiercely independent nature. She loved her clothes, shopping and gardening. For many years she worked as the noon hour supervisor at Confederation Park School. She made friends wherever she went.
Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. McCaffrey, Burnaby Palliative team, Burnaby first responders, BGH and LGH and St. Michael's Hospice. You were our lifeline.
No flowers by request. Mom loved flowers so if you must, honour her memory by surprising a loved one with a bouquet.
Celebration of Life to be held Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 5pm in Burnaby at Burnaby Palace Restaurant, 3110 Boundary Road.
