It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Eva Irene Weeks, age 97, of Amherst. Eva passed away with her family by her side at Gables Lodge on Sunday, May 3, 2015.
Born in Maccan, NS, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Caroline (Parlee) Canning.
Eva was a member of Trinity St. Stephen United Church, where she was a life time member of the UCW.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Earlene Robb, Moncton; grandson Philip, Moncton; sister Doris (Harold) Little, Maccan, NS and brother Don (Carol) Canning, Amherst, NS.
She was predeceased by her husband Earl, brother Bill and sister Vera Klem.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). In keeping with Eva's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Amherst Cemetery.
Those wishing to make a donation in Eva's memory may do so to Trinity St. Stephen's United Church or the charity of your choice.
