John Keim Riese
July 23, 1927 – May 9, 2015

The passing of John Keim Riese occurred in Royal University Hospital on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the age of 87 years. John was born and raised in Claire, Saskatchewan where he received his grade nine education and worked on the farm with his family. Later Dad spent many years in the mining industry, however he fell in love with prospecting in the Northern wilderness. Above all, visiting with family and friends was very important to him. Dad is survived by his children, Gordon (Maria) of NS, Howard (Bev) of SK, Kevin (Marion) of BC, Colin (Deanne) of SK, Janice (Tony) of AB, Jim (Jo) of SK, Gerald of ON, George (Bonnie) of BC, and Julie (John) of SK; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. John was predeceased by his first wife Shirley; second wife Betty; granddaughter Tessa Riese; and siblings Walter (Ivy) and Herb (Peggy). A Memorial Service will be held at Park Funeral Chapel (311 Third Avenue North) on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with a Private Family Interment.
