VERA LONG MACKAY
We, the family of the late Vera Long MacKay, wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to our neighbours, friends and relatives. Your support and expressions of sympathy for our beloved Vera are blessings beyond words. Thank you to all who telephoned, sent cards, flowers, baking, emailed and made charitable donations. Special thanks to Vera's doctor of many years, Dr. Greg Myatt, and the Palliative Care staff who took such good care of her during her brief illness. Also to Dr.'s N. Patel and Sheria Hag for their support and kindness. To Shelia (Danny) Lahey and Chris Noseworthy who gave the family over many years their devoted and gentle caring. Rev. Bob Lyle of Bethel Presbyterian Church who conducted Vera's "Celebration of Life Service", was accompanied by members of the choir and congregation. Rev. Lyle sang "I Come to the Garden Alone" while Aaron Lewis' solo was "How Great Thou Art", as these were Vera's favourite hymns. Thanks to the Whitney Pier Legion Branch 128 for their honour. We extend our appreciation to Chant's Funeral Home with special thanks to Wendy for guiding us, arranging the lunch and meeting our needs in their caring manner. Thank you to all who travelled to be with the family.
