Yvonne Niles, 91, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday May 14, 2015 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born December 21, 1923 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jeanne (Belliveau) Léger.
She is survived by six children: Camilla Cormier (Rodrigue) and Rachel Craik (Stephen), both of Moncton, Jocelyn LeBlanc (Georges) of Memramcook, Paul of Halifax, NS, Léonard (Monique) and Robert “Puppet”, both of Dieppe; six grandchildren: Nicole, Stéphane, Shawn, Justin, Natalie and Matthew; five great-grandchildren: Lauren, Averie, Phillippe, Mikael and Mateo; eight brothers and sisters: Paul of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, P.Q., Henri of Saint-Bruno, P.Q., Thérèse Green, Catherine Léger, Jacqueline Manuel and Annette St-Cœur, all of Moncton, Victor of Dieppe and Pauline Lannigan of Moncton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; an infant son, Léo; her sisters: Rita, Marie-Jeanne, Antoinette and Géraldine; her brothers: Camille, Antoine, Raymond and infant Pierre.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton, on Monday May 18, 2015 at 11 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Yvonne, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
