Passed away peacefully at Presentation Convent, Cathedral Square, St. John's, on Friday, May 15, 2015, age 96. Predeceased by her parents George and Mary (Whitty) Tapper, her sisters Clara Tapper, Madeline (Ralph) Perrella; her brothers, Charlie (Annie) Tapper, James and Ronald. Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life are: her sister Elizabeth (William, dec.) Holzman, The Presentation Sisters, her sisters-in-law Gen and Mary; devoted nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, relatives, friends, students and former colleagues. Sister Eugenie is resting at Presentation Motherhouse, Cathedral Square, St. John's. Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 17th from 7-9 p.m.; Monday, May 18th from 10-12; 2-4 and 7-9 with a Vigil Service at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Tuesday, May 19th at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Presentation Cemetery, Cathedral Square.
