CHIASSON, DORICE
1920 - 2015
It is with profound sadness that the family of Dorice Chiasson of Riverview, N.B. and formerly of Miramichi, N.B. announces her passing at the Moncton City Hospital on May 17, 2015 at the age of 94.
Dorice was the daughter of Matt and Genevieve (Plourde) LaTulippe and the chosen daughter of William and Mae Hyland of Williamstown, N.B.
Dorice is survived by two daughters: Susan Whiteway (Ian) of Riverview, N.B. and Colleen Tozer (Veryl) of Miramichi, N.B., one step-son Gilles Morais (Berthe) of Charlo, N.B. a brother, Patrick LaTulippe (Frances) of Orleans, Ontario, sisters Kathleen LeCouffe (late Armand) of Dalhousie, N.B. and Manie LeClair (late Israel) of Paisley, Ontario and Patsy Audet (Ronald) of Manotick, Ontario. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her beloved grandchildren Shelley (Rejean Lee), Kimberley (David Perry), Matthew (Melanie Ball), Christopher (Sarah), Patsy (Troy MacMillan), and Michael (Ashley); great-grandchildren Gregory, Zachery, Grace, Grayson, Kathryn and Maggie; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her foster parents, William and Mae Hyland, her first husband, Urban Lawlor and her second husband, John Chiasson; an infant son, William, brothers Joseph and George, sisters Eileen and Gladys.
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private family service will be officiated by Father Dan Melanson.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
