Beverly Ann MacDonald, 71 years of age, of Amherst, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late George & Blanch (Smith) Newcombe.
She loved knitting, quilting and playing crib. Beverly enjoyed spending time with her grand daughter Amanda and her great granddaughter Jazmyn. She loved Blue Grass music and watching hockey, especially the Pittsburgh Penguins.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Norman; sons, Andrew (Patti) of Moncton, Bradford ( Pauline) of Riverview, sisters, Louise Ripley (Burton) of Port Howe, NS, Charlotte Boss (Aubrey) of Amherst, NS; AB; granddaughter Amanda Lynn MacDonald and great granddaughter Jazmyn.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Carl, George, Bob.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). As per Beverly's request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held at the Port Howe Cemetery on Friday, May 22, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
