With heartfelt gratitude, the family of the late Gordon Doughart, wishes to express our sincere appreciation to our friends, family, neighbors and community for their many kindnesses shown during Gordon's illness and subsequent passing. Thank you to each of you, who sent flowers and cards, made donations, provided food, shovelled our driveway, came to visit, or called to say hello, or any of the other countless kindnesses you showed. You brightened our days. To the doctors and staff of the Cape Breton Cancer Center and the An Cala Palliative Care Unit, thank you for your outstanding care, not just for Gordon but for our entire family. You made our journey easier. To Rev. Laurie McCuish, thank you for the beautiful ceremony. It was truly a celebration of Gordon's life. Thank you too for being a friend and spiritual leader through so much of this journey. To Scott Phillips, thank you for your beautiful and moving song at Gordon's services in Sydney and in PEI. Your music touched our hearts. Thank you to Chant's Funeral Home for your compassion and accommodation of our requests. And to each and every person who helped in any way, please know that your kindness did not go unnoticed and will never be forgotten. We are eternally grateful.
