Noel Saunders
World War II veteran of The Royal Navy and lifelong member of The Royal Canadian Legion, passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at Beach Grove Home, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, age 93. Son of the late Rev. Hugh and Edith Facey, Heart's Content, NL. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Gladys, his five brothers and one sister. Survived by sons Noel (Beverly), Tony; daughters Beverley (Sidney Peddle) and Janet (John Prentice); sister-in-law Doreen Facey (St. John's), 12 grandchildren and five great-grand children. He also leaves a large circle of nieces, nephews and close friends. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. A service of remembrance will be held in Prince Edward Island at St. Mark's Anglican Church, South Rustico, on Saturday, June 6, at 1 pm. Burial will take place in Newfoundland at a later date.
