HALLETT, Bradford Eugene, 72, Sandy Point, passed away peacefully in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, on Saturday, June 6, 2015, with his family by his side. Born in Sandy Point he was a son of the late John and Ada (Buchanan) Hallett. Brad was a fisherman for most of his working life. In later years he worked for the Department of Fisheries and as a courier for the Halifax Herald. He enjoyed hunting and was a jack-of-all-trades. Brad was a life-long Liberal and enjoyed working in the elections. He was happiest when spending time with his grandchildren. Brad is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Hattie Acker; daughter, Heidi (Shawn); grandchildren, Courtney (Tyler); Nikki; sister, Linda (Milford) Townsend; sisters-in-law, Sylvia, Susie and Annastacia; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son, Eugene; brothers, Arthur and Ronald and sister Ruby. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne, where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at 2 pm. with Pastor Chris Tedford officiating. Memorial donations may be made to H.M.
