Taken from this life in a tragic accident on the 18th of May, 2015, Mrs. Katie Lorena Wilcox of Roddickton, at the young age of 58 years. Left with heavy hearts to mourn her loss are her husband Gideon Wilcox of Roddickton; her mother Maisie Parsons of Roddickton; her daughters Tracy Blanchard (Trent Cassell) in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Tynette Blanchard (Shawn Pittman), Roddickton, and Tiffany Blanchard (Damian Fifeld) of Mary's Harbour; her son Anthony Wilcox of Roddickton; brothers Perry (Pamela) Parsons, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Darby (Ruby) Parsons of Roddickton, and Gordon (Blanche) Parsons of Thompson, Manitoba; sisters Pamela (Roland) Sherwood, Dryden, Ontario, Doretta Parsons (Nat Patey), St. Anthony, Ruby Parsons (Gary Sparks), Fort Nelson, British Columbia, and Cavell Parsons (Trevor Pilgrim), Kitchener, Ontario. Katie was predeceased by her first husband Barry Blanchard, and father Reuben Parsons. Visitation was held at the Apostolic Faith Church in Roddickton from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 24 with Rev. Christopher Hewlett officiating. Burial followed the service at the Roddickton Apostolic Faith Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
