Passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 27th day of May, 2015, Mrs. Vera Clara Colbourne of St. Anthony in her 83rd year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Larry; three grandchildren Suzanne (Ernie), Mike (Nadia), and Ronnie (Kayla), eight great-grandchildren Samantha, Sarah, Shannon, Mitchell, Preston, Tristen, Brooklyn, and Cohen, and one great-great-grandchild Allie as well as many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Garland, daughter Ivy, parents Caleb and Beatrice Pennell, sisters Lily, Pearl, and Nellie. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service which was held at the Salvation Army Church on Saturday, May 30 at 2:30 p.m. with Major Dinzel Baggs officiating. Burial took place at the old Salvation Army Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
